Chicago spins the tale of showbiz wannabe Roxie Hart as she goes to murderous lengths to attain stardom. Her rival, chanteuse Velma Kelly, is determined to out-maneuver Roxie. Both enlist the razzle-dazzle lawyer, Billy Flynn, to help them beat murder raps and gain fame and fortune in gangster/jazz/prohibition-era Chicago.
